In India There are many cases of corona virus have been reported. People are being advised to wash their hands with soap or sanitizer since the onset of this deadly virus.
The coron virus originated in Wuhan city of China has so far victimized more than 100 countries in India. People are being advised to wash their hands with soap or sanitizer since the onset of this deadly virus. However, a new debate has also started on whether soap or sanitizer is better for fighting the virus.
Professor Paul Thordarson of the University of South Wales has described soap as a better option to avoid the corona virus. Soap can easily eradicate the lipids present in the virus. Actually soap contains elements like fatty acids and salt called amphiphiles. These hidden elements in soap neutralize the outer layer of the virus.
Washing the hands for about 20 seconds destroys the sticky material that acts to keep the virus together. You must have felt many times that after washing your hands with soap, the skin becomes a little dry and some wrinkles start. Actually this happens because soap goes deep enough and kills germs.
Now, let’s talk about why sanitizer is not as effective as soap. According to a research by John Hopkins University, sanitizer in the form of gel, liquid or cream is not as good as soap in fighting the corona virus. Only those sanitizers that can contain the Corona virus will have more alcohol. Commonly used soap is a much better option for this.
